Why we exist

We've seen what this industry does wrong. We built Expert Restoration to do it right.

Chris and Joyce spent years in restoration working for a company they believed in — until they didn't. When a big commercial job came in, residential crews got pulled. Homeowners waiting on their flooded kitchens became afterthoughts. Corners got cut to satisfy carrier guidelines instead of the people who actually lived in those homes.

So they left. And they built something different.

Expert Restoration exists for one reason: the homeowner should never feel like they don't matter. Not when their house is wet. Not when it's burned. Not when everything they own is in boxes.

You matter. Your home matters. That's why we're here.

About

Calm in the
middle of it.

Expert Restoration is a locally owned and operated company built on one belief: when something has gone wrong in your home, you deserve someone who shows up calm, capable, and unhurried.

The story we carry into every job

"This is the best worst thing that has ever happened to me."

A customer called on a Sunday. Her home was flooding. When we arrived, we found a house full of belongings from people she'd loved and lost. She wasn't a hoarder — she was a grieving person who didn't know where to start.

We sat down, had coffee, and made a plan. Not a restoration plan. A person plan.

Four days later, when the hard work was done, she looked at us with tears in her eyes and said those words.

That's the question we carry into every job: how do we make this the best worst thing that's ever happened to them?

— Joyce Gabriel, Co-Founder

Smaller crews. More experienced technicians. A single project lead from the first call to the final walk-through. Documentation that respects both you and your adjuster.

Every job we take in Thurston, Mason, Lewis, or Grays Harbor County runs to the IICRC standard — not the contractor minimum. Because "made whole" isn't a marketing line. It's the actual job.
